Impact of the signature of the agreement protocol with GREAT LAKE ENERGY

The company Great Lake Energy, investor-developer of the Ruzizi III Project, concluded Thursday, February 1, with the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources, an agreement to conduct studies related to the construction and operation of a hydroelectric plant on the Kinsuka rapids on Kuidi Island, with a capacity of 200 MW. The Congolese side was represented by the Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Ingele Ifoto.

The objective of this new hydro-electric infrastructure project is to increase the energy supply of the DRC, including its capital Kinshasa. It will also reduce the chronic deficit on the interconnected network of Snel and meet the growth in demand for residents of the capital.
